In 2012, the Orange County Crazies sketch, standup and improvisational comedy organization, founded Ree-invent Films to further its interest in comedic works--not only those on stage but on screen as well.
Ree-Invent Films' brand is much like that of the O.C. Crazies sketch and improv work--it always provides a satirical jab in all its offerings, whether the films are shorts or features. It is committed to making the best comedic cinematic projects possible—those that also provide humor with a moral message. Ree-invent Films finds that there are far too many remakes and boring sequels, or films that can’t deliver on the hyped promises they make.
Ree-invent's mission is to make quality products for eager audiences—ones that need and want to laugh and who also appreciate the satire or moral messages behind them. Ree-invent wants to create and present comedic films of substance and provide films that bring laughter and healing—products that also offer some kind of societal meaning.
With only two comedic features films to its credit thus far, it has received 28 nominations and 17 wins along the film festival circuit.
